In March 2019, we had a snowstorm that still requires people to be in their cars driving to and from some activity.  The roads for a time were very treacherous to navigate due to the slickness and visibility.   The safe speed to travel within the city limits would be about 40 km per hour maximum.  However, whipping by me were drivers travelling at least 100 km an hour not only putting their life at risk but every living thing in their path.  This goes to demonstrate that just because you have a license does not make you a good driver.  It means that you met the minimum qualifications to obtain a driver’s permit.

Did you graduate from high school, college or university?  If yes, on the one hand, can you count the number of teachers that had a significant impact on your time as a student?  Come on, only five names.  Yes, most people I ask can only come up with two names.  Where not all those other teachers licensed?  Just because you are a doctor, a medical specialist, a plumber, any profession or trade requiring a license does not guarantee you know your stuff!

When I became a T2D (Type 2 Diabetic), I was told I would have to manage the disease for the rest of potentially a very shorten life which would be determined by my skills as a good manager.  After all, it was a chronic disease, and statistically, I would die early from T2D itself or one of its related conditions.

After being a T2D for 18-years, I reached the equivalent of my PhD when I was informed that I was now a T1D (insulin dependent) and that my Beta cells in my pancreas were exhausted and my body could no longer make any insulin.  Wow in one year I put on 65 pounds after taking five years previously to eliminate 171 pounds.  Not to worry, these were all licensed doctors giving me this sound advice.  In late February 2018, I found a glimmer of hope from the messaging of Dr Jason Fung who informed me that T2D was reversible and that I had been misdiagnosed as a T21!  However, based on the fact that I was a T2D for more than two decades, it may take me longer to reverse by T2D, and I would require staying the course and being patient.

Now officially in year two of my reversal process, I am free of daily insulin injections and high blood pressure medicine.  However, I still have a moderately fatty liver, a severely fatty pancreas and I am greater than half my height at the navel, so I am still technically medically obese.  As I drill into how to reverse my fatty liver and subsequently remove just half a gram of fat from the pancreas (which will reverses T2D in 72 hours), my research has opened my eyes to other diseases and how they are also curable.

I hope to release a book in the future entitled, “The How We Got to This Point Diet” as so much of the information we are getting from our trusted “medical professionals” defies logic.  Don’t believe me, drill down into the 2019 Canada Food Guide, a document that defines that sound that made Phil Robertson into a multi-millionaire.  Got a few minutes, then frequently check out my posts at https://beautyfullspa.ca/blog/.
