Skin Lightening – Skin Whitening
Hyperpigmentation Reduction + Ultrasonic

Hyperpigmentation refers to areas of skin where an excess of melanin (“pigmentation”) has been produced and formed deposits, causing skin patches that appear darker than the surrounding skin.  The causes vary from sun exposure, hormonal changes, heredity, acne, botched skin treatments and even uncovered compact fluorescent light bulb exposure.  Any form of unfiltered radiation can create this effect in addition to those causes previously stated.  The most significant concentration of melanin is found between the first (Epidermis) and second (Dermis) layers of skin.

In some circles, these darker areas are referred to as Hyperpigmentation Lesion which is somewhat misleading.  The term “lesion” is the category of Minor Skin Irregularities including Age Spots, Moles, Skin Tags, Xanthomas (Facial Cholesterol Deposits), Fibromas, Milians, Lipoma, Scar Reduction, Cherry Angioma, Cysts, Seborrheic Keratoses.  Most of these lesions present themselves on the surface of the Epidermis or on the surface of an organ within the body.

Just to refresh, the Epidermis, the outermost layer of skin, provides a waterproof barrier.  The Dermis, beneath the Epidermis, contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.  The deeper subcutaneous tissue (Hypodermis) is comprised of fat and connective (mostly of collagen) tissue.

Beauty-Full Spa achieves an evenness in skin tone which is also referred to as Skin Lightening or Skin Whitening and/or the reduction of Hyperpigmentation.  Beauty-Full Spa’s treatment to create an even skin tone is one of the safest methods and yields the best results for the smallest investment with the other treatments being:

  1. Often IPL (Photofacial) – Treatment with Intense Pulsed Light, or a Photofacial, is frequently recommended by health practitioners and estheticians to treat hyperpigmentation. However, improperly administered IPL treatment can make hyperpigmentation worse, so this reduction method is considered
  1. Chemical peels marketed under different names are often used to treat hyperpigmentation. They do an excellent job addressing issues on your Epidermis as they are intended as a surface treatment.  Caution is warranted as improperly administered chemical peels can result in pigment irregularities and
  1. Laser resurfacing using carbon dioxide (CO2) and fractional lasers. This route is expensive, and in the Province of Ontario, treatments must be administered by physicians. Results vary and scarring often occurs.
  1. Topical skin lightening products containing skin lightening ingredients, such as hydroquinone, retinoids, kojic acid, and Vitamin C serum are often used to reduce hyperpigmentation.

Beauty-Full Spa treats all areas of the body where Hyperpigmentation or unevenness in the skin’s tone appears to be it on the face, armpits, body and even in the pelvic region.  However, this is not a treatment that will make your entire skin layer two or more shades lighter in colour.  At this particular time, we are not aware of the existence of any such technology other than the treatment Michael Jackson did which involved bleaching (which is not recommended regardless of how much money you may have).  Bleaching the skin has no reversal – be very, very careful!

The best value and method is found at Beauty-Full Spa where a combination of topical skin lightening agents including a Vitamin C serum are pushed deep into the pigmentation layers via ultrasonic waves that allow the lightening ingredients to absorb the pigmentation far more effectively than just applying to the skin’s surface, the Epidermis.  Additional benefits include improving circulation, evenness in the skin’s tone, with immediate results in just one to three treatments.

Pricing varies on this service as it depends on the size of the area being treated.  We offer a free consultation to evaluate your particular areas of concern.  If you are travelling a great distance to see us, you may wish to send us a very clear high definition picture (a close-up and a shot from 12″/30.5 cm) which can be sent via text to 647-891-2636 or via email to info@beautyfullspa.ca. An example of pricing:  treatment of area located in one armpit would be a starting price of $70*, both armpits (starting price) $140*.  Packages purchase 6 treatments (either single or both armpits) you get one free; purchase 10 treatments and receive two free treatments.  Simply purchase 6 @ $140 each and you receive seven treatments; purchase 10 @ 140 each and receive 12 treatments.  * Note – the price given to you may be more or less depending on the size of the area being treated.  It is always best to come in for a free consultation.

At Beauty-Full Spa, both our in-office treatment and home care Vitamin C is a stable formulation, meaning it will not evaporate or alter before absorbing into your skin.  The use of this method allows the ultrasonic waves to push this unique formulation into the deepest pigmented areas giving you the fastest results.  The Vitamin C Serum used in Beauty-Full Spa’s treatments helps to brighten skin and boosts collagen health, minimizing the look of fine lines and wrinkles while improving the appearance of uneven skin tone. Intensely moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid plus nonoxidizing Vitamin C work together to protect skin from environmental stresses, helping to prevent signs of ageing. Soothing Aloe and Vitamin E deeply moisturize for a rejuvenated you.

For those of you who need to know how it works, this is the simplest explanation.  The ultrasonic waves create a process called cavitation.  The ultrasonic waves stimulate a transformation of the formulation containing the Vitamin C and other agents into bubbles sitting on your skin’s surface that are vibrated until they hit a predetermined threshold.  This is why having a stable form of Vitamin C is imperative.  Next is the occurrence of an imploding that transfers the bubbles into millions of microscopic jets of liquid that are shot deep into the pigmented areas being treated.  This creates a chemical reaction, and the content of the pigmented cells is neutralized and disposed of in the lymphatic system which results in the lighting of the tissue.  Depending on the concentration of the pigmented cells will determine how many treatments may be required to obtain the results where the previous pigmented area shall appear the same as the surrounding evenly pigmented skin.

Treatment works but it does take time

The guy at Beauty-Full Spa who did my conversation informed me on how this treatment worked and it was not the magical bullet featured on Amazon that I told him that I had ordered. He told me to be very careful and when my order arrived and put on a small dot in the area to be treated. Wait for 24-hours to make sure no negative reaction. Good thing he told me this because the stuff I put on burned me and if I would have put it on my entire forehead it would have turned me into a monster! Well, I have been coming to see the staff at BF SPA for three years and appreciate how they help me retain my beauty.

Since my second child, I developed a dark spot on the upper part of my back which has made difficult to wear a strapless gown. Beauty-Full Spa gave me a free consultation and my first treatment right afterwards. I purchase 20 sessions and did two a week for 10 weeks and it really worked. A little home care. Very pleased.

Skin Lightening & Scar Reduction Worked for me.

I came to Beauty-Full Spa from a friend referral. Well, it was as advertised. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. The explained everything in detail for me and it took nine treatments and the hyperpigmentation on my cheek since I was 18 years old disappeared. That was in 2010, and I just finished another set of treatments to eliminate dark patches in my armpit. Very pleased.

As Advertised

This treatment was very effective on an area I had on my upper right arm. It was really dark and it took about 10 sessions to my skin tone even. Very pleased.
