His assumptions were based on one pound is the equivalent of 454 grams; pure fat contains 8.7 – 9.5 calories per gram; and that body fat tissue was 87% fat. Using this hypothesis, he concluded that a pound of body fat contained between 3,436 to 3,752 calories. He rounded it up to a nice even 3,500 calories per pound of body fat and decades later his results had been published repeatedly thousands of times in medical journal, medical books, so many times that people took it as truth. Then in 2019, someone pulled out a calculator and keyed in 9 calories per gram of fat is 4,086 per pound, not 3,500. If you are counting calories as a major part of your weight loss, do you think oversight of 586 calories per pound should be corrected! By the way, what other facts may they be unaware that could be of assistance to your successful efforts?
3. What is the cost of the program? Are there any red flags that seem more like a money grab that added value to the overall program such as Enrollment or Administration fees?
4. Is the person who founded the program still alive and actively involved in the method? These were the people with the vision and knowledge to make things happen and grow. How often does the Coach go to seminars to upgrade their skills be in a workshop or online courses?
Don’t get taken by before and after pictures, as these are not of any importance and are so easy to fake. What are they going to do for me; do I feel comfortable with this person; are they passionate about what they are doing or just working from a script?
A great coach can easily explain to you the role of insulin and the pancreas, a fatty liver, dangers of sweeteners both while dieting and normal living, can explain why the people of the Arctic up to the middle of the last century ate zero carbohydrates and were healthy for thousands of years unlike their counterparts to the South.
