  • Microdermabrasion is a gentle yet effective method used to revitalize and rejuvenate your skin.
  • The technique also promotes collagen formation, which results in a tightening of the skin, and overall skin texture.
  • Microdermabrasion is also indicated for: fine lines and wrinkles; sun damage, and age spots; hyperpigmentation, and blemishes; acne scars, stretch marks, and other fine scars; enlarged pores, congested or dull skin.
  • It is a very simple, gentle, and effective procedure.
  • It is one of the most popular procedures used to maintain the integrity of the skin and to give an overall younger appearance to the skin.
  • No downtime!

Difference between Crystal and Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion

The regular Crystal Microdermabrasion technology involves the use of a special, hand-held device that propels a high-speed flow of either Aluminum Oxide or Sodium Bicarbonate crystals onto the skin. At the same time, the machine’s vacuum system sucks away dirt, dead cells, and spent crystals.

Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion Before After

The Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion system (also known as crystal-free Microdermabrasion) replaces the micro-crystal flow with a reusable crushed diamond tip wand. Natural diamond chips are sifted to a micron and electroplated onto five different sized stainless steel wands to insure proper resurfacing for each individual’s skin type. The wands are both varied in size and coarseness for different skin types and depths of resurfacing. This method is easier to control and doesn’t irritate the skin (natural minerals are less likely to trigger adverse reactions). Areas closer to the eyes and mouth can be treated more accurately with diamond-tipped wand removing the risk of stray crystals causing damage or being ingested possibly into the lungs.

Microdermabrasion Crystals are either Aluminum Oxide or Sodium Bicarbonate crystals. Aluminum Oxide crystals have been the most widely used abrasive agent over the last 20-years. They have been a more effective abrader due to their irregular shape. Aluminum Oxide is the second hardest mineral (diamonds are first). Sodium Bicarbonate crystals are an organic alternative to Aluminum Oxide crystals but they are a lot softer and less effective in Microdermabrasion. Their biggest benefit is that they are easily washed off after treatment as Sodium Bicarbonate is water-soluble.

Due to their natural hardness the diamonds located on the end of the wands is the new preferred method for delivery of Microdermabrasion as diamonds are the hardest mineral. For the sake of both perceived safety and effectiveness, crystal Microdermabrasion machines (with aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate crystals) are being phased out and replaced with the newer, more effective and completely safe Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion machines.

Imagine a diamond-tipped wand and vacuum system that is lightly moved across your face, polishing away dead skin layers and exposing healthier skin and promoting new growth. Once the mask is removed the Cold Hammer cools the treated area, relaxes the tissue, and assists in locking in the moisture. The finished results are nothing less than remarkable!

Available is an extra step involving Ultrasonic Therapy which delivers four very special effects: Thermal – relates to the heat generated into the deeper tissues and especially the collagen, and the benefits derived; Mechanical – relates to the high-speed vibrations that act on the tissue just like a micro-massage; Cavitations – refers to the production of countless microscopic droplets of oxygen from the vibrational process; Biological – includes blood vessel dilatation, improved blood flow and circulation, improved lymph flow, and muscle relaxation. With this additional procedure Collagen, Extra Plus is placed over a mask suitable for your skin type.

Excellent Benefits – Reducing Acne

To understand how to eliminate Acne we must first understand why it occurs. Propionibacterium acnes (or “P. acnes bacteria” for short) is a type of bacteria that is normally present in the skin. This type of bacteria thrives in an oxygen-free environment, which is why they are able to multiply once a blockage of a pore occurs. Once a pore becomes blocked, often with an oily substance, P. acnes bacteria present in the shaft begin to multiply. This in turn attracts the body’s white blood cells. The white blood cells attempt to surround and kill the P. acne bacteria. Once there are enough P. acnes bacteria and white blood cells together, an infectious lump or closed comedones (whitehead) forms. And that is how acne starts! Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion is an excellent treatment for removing the pore blockages, leaving the skin soft, exfoliated, and oil-free. Surprising and dramatic results for most individuals, especially for facial acne!

DIAMOND PEEL MICRODERMABRASION IS A HEALTHIER ALTERNATIVE TO MICRODERMABRASION!

Ultrasonic Therapy

(Investment $50*/Treatment, or $40* in combination with a Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion)

Available is an extra step involving Ultrasonic Therapy which delivers four very special effects:
• Thermal – relates to the heat generated into the deeper tissues and especially the collagen, and the benefits derived;
• Mechanical – relates to the high-speed vibrations that act on the tissue just like a micro-massage;
• Cavitations – refers to the production of countless microscopic droplets of oxygen from the vibrational process;
• Biological – includes blood vessel dilatation, improved blood flow and circulation, improved lymph flow, and muscle relaxation.

With this additional procedure Collagen, Extra Plus is placed over a mask suitable for your skin type.

Ultrasonic Therapy has been widely used for cosmetic purposes since the early ‘80’s. Its popularity when used by a skilled practitioner has become widely accepted for its safety, precise control, and predictable results.

Ultrasonic Therapy is now used for facial and body skin rejuvenating treatments, reduction of stretch marks, treatment of contracture and scar tissue, reduction of Hyperpigmentation, and the pre- and post-operative treatment of plastic surgery patients to accelerate healing and recovery after procedures such as facelifts, tummy tuck, and liposuction. Ultrasonic applied over selective gels and creams improves with tremendous efficiencies their effectiveness through deeper and more thorough penetration of these products maximizing both time and financial investment.

The mechanisms of action of Ultrasonic should be considered in terms of four categories:

1. Thermal Effect which relates to the heat generated into the deeper tissues and especially the collagen, and the benefits derived;

2. Mechanical Effect which relates to the high-speed vibrations that act on the tissue just like a micro-massage;

3. Cavitations Effect which refers to the production of countless microscopic droplets of oxygen from the vibrational process;

4. Biological Effects which include blood vessel dilatation, improved blood flow and circulation, improved lymph flow, muscle relaxation, reduced inflammation, and pain relief.

Skin treatments are more effective since deep cleansing, exfoliation and moisturizing is improved. This is achieved by high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations that penetrate deep into pores and hair follicles to break up old, dead cells, secretions, and oily blockages. In addition, the skin’s metabolism is increased resulting in an increase in the lymph flow which in turn causes waste products to be removed more rapidly and effectively. The more waste products removed the better penetration and absorption of your skincare products. Deep tissue Ultrasonic therapy improves skin tone, softness, texture and special creams excellent for skin lightening and reduction of dark pigmented areas. The combination of all of these factors creates younger-looking skin.

Scar tissue and contracture:  Both of these problems achieve tremendously positive results using Ultrasonic Therapy. It is understood that these results are due in large part to the thermal effects of Ultrasonic with the loosening, stretching, and re-orientation of collagen tissue. This has demonstrated great effects in speeding the healing and discoloration of the firm or bruised areas occasionally seen after facelifts, tummy tucks, or liposuction. Spa treatments are followed up with the home application of Collagen Gel to speed up the healing process. (A contracture is a shortening of a muscle or tendon in the human body in response to the stress exerted on that muscle or tendon).

Stretch marks, fine lines, and sun-damaged skin are improved through dermapheresis or sonopheresis. These are the terms that have been applied to the use of Ultrasonic in stimulating deeper penetration of special creams deeper into the lower layers of the skin. In this way, the ultimate effects of the creams are much more potent. Multiple treatments are usually required and it is safe for all skin colours and types. The number and frequency of your treatments depending on your skin type and response to therapy. Improvements are usually seen after the first treatment.
